See some sample photographs. Every year the Woodford Folk Festival is held over the New Year holiday, near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. On the final night the closing ceremony involves a spectacular open air theatrical experience involving fire.. Here are some images from the event on New Year's Day 2004. In all I took over 1,000 hi-res photos using a quality digital camera. Many of these images were behind the scenes looks at the creation of the fire sculptures, lanterns and the people behind the staging of the event. A Photo CD is for sale. You may see many images from the festival, from the fire event itself and the behind the scenes preparations; a good cross section of the vibe of Woodford - one of the world's great music festivals. Also included are several screen savers for Windows, and background material. A great souvenir of the performance, or see it if you were not there. (A portion of the proceeds are being donated to the WWF-Australia Partners in Conservation Programme. The remainder will go towards upgraded equipment for next year's fire event at Woodford).
