See a gallery of photographs here. I took highly detailed close up photographs of many of the wonderful paintings in the Musee d'Orsay collection in Paris during my visit there in 2002. I have produced a CD-ROM with 86 original high resolution photographs of the paintings, and 42 additional photographs of the museum building, sculptures and other art treasures. Artists include: Van Gough, Renoir, Monet, Cezanne, Gaugin... Art students and painters have commented that the details of texture and brush strokes which can be seen in these photographs surpass all but the finest art books. The photographs are 2240 x 1680 pixels (approx 4 megapixels / 2Mb each) and can be printed to A4 or 10" x 8" size. These paintings will make great desktop pictures or screensaver slideshow images. They will also work well in electronic jigsaw puzzles. (All proceeds beyond production costs are being donated to the WWF-Australia Partners in Conservation Programme.) As these paintings and artworks are in the public domain, these photographs are all royalty free for any use.
