CRYSTAL WATERS PERMACULTURE VILLAGE

Educational DVD

An educational DVD has been produced in partnership with the Crystal Waters Community Living Association all about Crystal Waters Permaculture Village in SE Queensland. The DVD contains several short films covering various aspects of the village, including:

• Crystal Waters Introduction - village design, permaculture, housing design, integrated living with nature, alternatives to mainstream suburban living (20 minutes).

• The wood fired oven bakery - healthy bread, natural fermentation, small business and life philosophy, organic building evolution (2 films, 20 minutes and 11 minutes).

• The Wildlife of Crystal Waters - a short film set to music showing the wildlife of the Conondale Ranges, and showcasing how a former degraded cattle farm can be reclaimed by nature in only a decade, aided by good landscape design, excluding domestic pets such as cats and dogs, and avoiding harmful herbicides (19 minutes).
  
  

Also included on the DVD in a PC section is a wealth of educational support material:

• Ten detailed maps and aerial photographs of Crystal Waters.
• Over 200 full screen photographs of Crystal Waters, various aspects of community life, and nature.
• Text of the narration and contact information for Crystal Waters featured small enterprises and organisations.
• Audio of Crystal Waters natural ambient soundscapes.

The DVD content has been created by former secondary and tertiary educators, and is aimed at schools and TAFE colleges, other educational institutions, libraries, and the interested public. This DVD is Region 0 Worldwide PAL format.
