Every year the Woodford Folk Festival is held over the New Year holiday, near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. On the final night the closing ceremony involves a spectacular open air theatrical experience involving fire... Here you can see some images from the event on New Year's Day 2007. In all I took over 1,100 hi-res photos using a quality digital camera. Many of these images were behind the scenes looks at the creation of the fire sculptures, lanterns and the people behind the staging of the event. Also, many photos were taken of the Fire Choir in rehearsal and the public lantern making. A widescreen video was also made of the Fire Event, and of the Fire Choir in rehearsal.
