Woodford Folk Festival

Every year the Woodford Folk Festival is held over the New Year holiday, near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. On the final night the closing ceremony involves a spectacular open air theatrical experience involving fire... Here are some images from the event on New Year's Day 2004. In all I took over 1,000 hi-res photos using a quality digital camera. Many of these images were behind the scenes looks at the creation of the fire sculptures, lanterns and the people behind the staging of the event. All of the night photos were taken without the use of flash photography. Here you may see some of the images from the the festival, from the fire event itself and the behind the scenes preparations; a good cross section of the vibe of Woodford this year.
